Sunshine, Glorious Sunshine!

Although it is raining right now, the weather this weekend was spectacular. Sweet.

Friday night I attended Paul's birthday celebration and enjoyed interacting with little kids and adults alike. As always, the Triple Chocolate Fudge Cake I brought was a huge hit (even tho I neglected to put in the salt AND the vanilla this time...).

Saturday was a good day for running a few errands (netted almost 7 bucks at the bottle depot!) before I got down to serious business at the Daiquiri Open at Shannon's house. What a fun event! The dress code was strictly enforced...ladies in sundresses and hats; men in flowery shirts and shorts. Blender drinks all around-yehaw! My team mate Marion and I were victorious! Let's hear it for the Double D's!

After cleaning the house and doing laundry on Sunday, Macy and I travelled to Wolfville to have coffee and go for a walk in Reservoir Park. we had never been there before and it was really great. Then we came home and I began the task of FINALLY painting the railing part of the deck and spray painted the fire-pit stove. I just put the radio on and worked away. Macy supervised (must train that hound to bring beer upon command...she sure has me trained to bring her treats every so often and to toss the ball around!).

Truly soaked up the sun this weekend...good thing, because I hear the rain will be around most of the week. I am looking forward to Book Club tonight and a BBQ at the Hennessy's tomorrow evening!
