I had an awesome weekend.Been a while since I could say that, but I truly did. You see, this was the weekend that we (Pages of 8+2 Bookclub) cashed in on the item that we bid on at PaperArts A-Thon during the silent auction: A Girls' Weekend at Paulette's Cottage.
A wonderful time to be sure: friends, creating, laughing and eating TONS of good food. The weather was perfect and the surroundings idyllic...well worth every penny we donated and more.
The post card on the right found by Amy on the Post Secret blog summed it up. You can read more Sunday Secrets here. Every Sunday, ten anonymous postcards are posted. A dude has built a whole career out of this project with the objective to let people air their secrets all in the aid of suicide prevention. Some are sad, but some are quite funny as you can see.
The picture underneath was taken early on the Saturday morning halfway through our morning hike with Paulette. There were far less of us the next morning, but the coffee was on when we got back the second day :)

I was able to make 2 gifts this weekend as well as the collaborative altered book project Myleta shows on her blog. In short, I am thankful for the friends that made this past weekend so wonderful.Speaking of being Thankful for friends, I am sure this weekend will be a good one, too as Bermuda Jenn is coming to visit. Macy and I are headed to the airport to get her Friday night.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone...I am sure you have things to be thankful for, too.
