Festivities

Saturday was a good day. Evelyne and I went to the Barn in the morning to visit Paulette and to hear about her trip to Calgary (the "stuff" that is available there is secondary to the coffee and conversation for me...although there is pretty great stuff as the check I wrote that day would attest!). The afternoon was all about a walk with the Hound and making sure I got a good nap in as the evening promised to be full.

And full it was. It was great fun to dress up in my new threads and I have to say I was pretty pleased with the result. First stop was Pete and Sandi's where folks from around the Block from past and present were invited to toast the season (my favourite was Pete's Red Nosed Reindeer martini). Then it was off to Tim and Mary's where I met up with my gal pal Beth and we were able to get caught up on all the news (this was great as I had not seen her in a long time).

Sunday was a quiet day, but I managed to get quite a bit done. Last week I had taken care of the bathroom ceiling as there was some mould that needed ousting, but the paint job I did left some touching up to be done and I did that. I got my stuff for Book Club ready. Macy and I got out for a good long walk at the Station and then we came home for a two hour nap in front of the fire.

So this week looks like this: Book Club Christmas at Paulette's tonight, dinner and movie on Wednesday with Sonia and Gerry, Thursday the Station party and Saturday stopping into Kim and Harry's before driving to the airport to pick up my Dad who is coming for Christmas. Whew!
