Damn, it's cold out there!

Ya, so happy Valenswines Day to all. And that's all I have to say about that. Except that I felt a bit like Charlie Brown as I checked my mailbox each day this week.

But I do love Snoopy and I heart all of you so thought I would add this pic for the day.

This week didn't pass as quickly as last, but it was good. Finished my bookclub homework, took a sick day Wednesday (slept, read, slept, drank tea, slept...felt much better...may have had a touch of Februaryitis), yoga.

My financial advisor made a house call Thursday night and I contributed to my RRSP and got a lesson in finance over tea (I'm telling you-it's all about the service). I felt heartened! As it turns out, it is the number of units that you own-not their current value! I have not "lost money" because the number of units I have bought has not changed. So I am buying low and hopefully will be able to sell high. Valerie says it's like a big 2 for 1 sale out there right now. So I say yes! Buy!

And last night was Movie Night #2 and was another success. Craig made a batch of polenta that he had all the stuff for but didn't get a chance to make last week at the Italian dinner. I never did get around to making popcorn. Chocolat was on the marquee and enjoyed by all. The men in the group request violence be included in the next selection :) We raised $100!

Today I am going to the Designer Cafe and treat myself to one of Doug's wonderful lattes. Hopefully, he'll draw a heart in the foam like last year. So to all of you who are happily attached, you are lucky. Show your gratitude accordingly, please.

Thanks for the hospitality and the movie yesterday. Man, was it hard to leave the front of the fireplace to go freeze my buns on the drive home! Thankfully a short drive! Happy mid-february to you too! Actually, the kiddie cartoon channel (Treehouse) has it right today... they are calling today the Friendship and Caring Day. Enjoy a nice warm fire, a good book and a nice cup of tea with a good dose of pooch livin'!

Hey Taryn,

Congrats on Movie night #2! Way to go!
I am very grateful for all of the LOVES in my life...my supportive and loving hiusband (33 years today), my 3 children and their respective families and high on my list of 'gratefuls' are the friends I cherish... such as you! I am so very lucky to have met you. You have enriched, inspired and changed my life in a VERY positive way.
Thanks Taryn, for being you!
Happy Heart Day!
Love

I'm attached and I am with you, I hate this day. I like the "friendship and caring" day better. Connor told me "if you were a booger I would pick you first" for valentine's. He is such a boy.

Attached or not. I end up making my day what I want cause you can't always count on the "attachee" to make you feel what you want...
So what I'm saying is I didn't get anymore than you did...
But I did buy myself a nice valentine's day gift. A whole ski package (skis, bindings, poles and pants - check my facebook for pics).
Cheers to FRIENDSHIP AND CARING DAY!
Love to all the attached and unattached.
