The last post was about the Tuesday. Wednesday was spent puttering around the resort until the guys left for Playa for a bachelor party and the gals left for a jewelery factory for the bachelorette. We went to Lapis where we ogled over sparkly, shiny baubles for 2 hours! I purchased a silver pendant with my Mayan initial on it and I LOVE it. I didn't feel like whipping out the MC in the Million Dollar Room. After Lapis, we went back to the hotel in a taxi van, drinking Corona and singing Madonna and Cindy Lauper tunes and laughing a lot. We spent the later part of the afternoon in the lounge giving advice to the Bride and then went to dinner together. Although the plan was to go to the disco, we never made it. The boys came back from Playa sufficiently feted.
Thursday morning dawned bright and clear and Troy and I were off to go Deep Sea Fishing. Yes, I caught the fish in the photo! I got to sit in the Big Chair and pretend I was in a JAWS movie complete with yelling and whooping! After that, I spent the rest of the four-hour trip on the top deck with my feet on the Captain's chair drinking Corona and listening to Mexican music. Sweet. We came back to the hotel and relaxed by the pool for a bit and then it was time to get ready for the wedding.
This was the setting. Talk about BEAUTIFUL. It was at 6pm or so, so everything was bathed in golden light. After the ceremony, we were served champagne and filtered onto the beach for photos. It was the best wedding I have ever been to because everyone was so relaxed.
After the wedding, we had a while before we were scheduled to meet at the Mama Mia Italian a la cart, and we were invited to Cindy and Tim's room for drinks. What a happy, tanned lot we were! Sadly, my tan is fading. But the memories of the trip are not!
Just a small departure from the travelogue: Paper Arts A Thon was this past weekend and other than spending time with my friend Joline who came from NB for the event and having lots of great laughs with the girls all night (yes, we stayed 'til the bitter end: 5:30 am), the biggest memory was that I actually won the prize for the most fundraising dollars! $775! So thanks everyone for your support for the movie nights and the peanut brittle sales and the coffee breaks at work! We Kicked Cancer in the Butt!

The pictures are beautiful and you look like you're having great fun!
What did they do with the fish?
Did you get a picture of just yourself on the beach because whoever was taking the photos caught the light perfectly.
I'm happy that all worked out and that everyone had a fabulous time!!!!
