So here I am on Sunday morning at the shore. The tide is coming in, the sun is shining, I have a cup of hot Mexican coffee made via a bodum...all is right in my little corner of the world. Today, right now, life is good. Troy's uncle Gerry has a lovely spot up here at the end of Ross Creek road.
Why is it that July always seems nice and lazy daisy but that August just seems to slip though the fingers? It feels that way to me. I can't quite grasp the fact that next weekend is the last weekend of August and then it will be September and the routines will return. We'll be in Clare for a wedding and we are both looking forward to it. I can't wait to see some dear friends whom I have not spent enough time with this summer.
Let's see....a brief rundown of August: we painted the bedroom (Sisal-a warm, butterscotchy colour), I had a visit with my pals Jane and Isabelle (who now live in South Carolina), Troy had the opportunity to spend time with friends from high school, I've been riding my bike to work almost every day, I saw my Mom and we had brunch at a cool cottage accessable only by boat on a lake near Hubbards, we blew a tire on the way to Digby but made it in time for Troy to run with his dad in the Digby Scallop Days fun run, my Run for the Cure team had a BBQ and raised about 700$ and we finally got that TV of mine on the wall in the living room.
Oh yes-we got the discs with the wedding pics :) Lovely, lovely, lovely. Will post some soon.
Tide is almost all the way in....I can't think of a better way to spend a late summers day. I'm so relaxed I can't even blog properly!
