Which make Macy Mae Louise Sanchez DeHavlin very happy as she does not have to spend the day in her crate. She is a Lady Of Leisure. Her favourite parts of the day include The Walk, Naps and Couch Time. I took this photo via iPhone the other night and could not resist sharing it. Mama Tummies apparently make great pillows.
I must admit. Friday threw me for a bit of a loop which I was totally not expecting. I put in the whole day because I had lots of tidy up to do and when I got home I sat on the couch and was so bone-tired I could barely move. I did manage to take the hound for a spin and we had a little talk along the way (as we usually do...she is the World's Best Listener). I was a bit sad, actually. And then I figured it out. I worked so hard to get to where I was and here I was on the brink of the unknown. Trading yet another part of myself for a role I am totally unprepared for. Yikes. However, once I was past that, I enjoyed the weekend and the prospect of not having to drag my butt out of bed on Monday morning. Which is difficult to do when you have been up several times in the night or are having trouble getting comfortable! So I say, sick time well spent.
Clearly, we have the resting part down. And then there is the getting ready! Baby's room painted? Check. Thank you Kim and Shane for your wonderful gift of time! Baby's laundry done? Check. You should see the piles of fluffy blankets, cloth diapers and clothes on the bed in there! baby gifts taken out of the packages and the gazillion plastic taggies removed? Check. So many wonderful gifts...in addition to the shower that was hosted by Sandi and Sonya, there was also a lovely shower in Middleton hosted by Grammie Marilyn and Auntie Tina. And a surprise pot-luck lunch shower given by my work colleagues in Dartmouth! Thank you, everyone :)
Tonight is our last prenatal class and I am responsible for the snack. Apparently it has to be healthy. I wanted to bring cup cakes, but my uber-conscience husband says banana bread and fruit better. Hmph.

Macy found the best pillow... it is warm, fairly firm, offers the occasional massage and just imagine the sounds she is getting! Enjoy while you can wonder dog! And Mama too!
