One year ago today...

It was one year ago today that we put the offer in on our house and it was accepted. This photo was taken the next day.
The year has just flown by...and so has our money :( But it has been worth it. We have two new entrance doors, a wood burning fireplace insert, and insulation in our walls (yes, we bought a house that had no insulation in the outer walls!!!! Apparently quite common in the 50's).

We love our house and we love our street. Quiet, walking distance to town (read..."the pub"), private yard and excellent neighbours. We have lots in mind to do...I would like to try to plant a small garden next year using the square foot gardening philosphy, we need to insulate the basement, and there is lots of aesthetic stuff to dream about. But, the house it solid and we have a nice place to live without too many headaches. And it really suits us.
