The Last Day of September???

Say it isn't so! The month flew by in my little world...

Friday night I enlisted the help of my friend Craig to help me bring in the last of the wood (boys will do anything for beer, it seems). It didn't take very long at all and we had a good chat about the impending Election during the grab and toss. We were almost done and Evelyne and Paul and the girls arrived (they were on the bikes as they brought them over to store in my oh, so clean basement for the winter). Olivia insisted on helping...too cute. Afterward, we celebrated by lighting a bonfire in ye olde Charm stove in the backyard and toasted marshmallows. Tim came later on and we sat out until midnight. It was a good way to spend the evening.

Saturday was a major putterama in the morning, but did manage to get out to the Barn to pick up some stuff for this weekend's project. A gift...not telling for who...but I was pleased I got all the stuff. This weekend is the grand Bookclub Weekend at Paulette's cottage in Scot's Bay and I am SOOOOOOO looking forward to it! This was the weekend that us girls bid on for the silent auction at the Scrapathon weekend 'way back in May. And then I had coffee with Dawn and then went over to Evelyne's to help her celebrate her Birthday.

Sunday started off right with a long walk at the Station...the clouds were pretty amazing to watch as they were grey and low and moving in preparation for Kyle's arrival. A nap and some reading were the order for the afternoon and then I travelled to Halifax to have dinner with my Mom at Saege Bistro (again, excellent service and wonderful food: Mescalin salad and pizza with smoked cheddar, chicken and caramelized onions...we shared a piece of vanilla bean cheesecake for dessert). It was a slow, rainy drive home but made it safely. Whew.

So, this week is pretty tame...work and a dentist appointment; yoga...until we get to Friday and then the weekend will ROCK. Cannot wait to spend time with my Peeps and eat and drink and hot tub and laugh and create and eat and drink and hot tub and laugh! I am hoping that this HEAD COLD I have contracted will be done and over-with by that time...I felt like CRAP last night.
