Look at Zeut. What a weenie. When Macy is in her crate, Zeut takes advantage of her absence in the doggie bed. Between him and Macy, this little C'Mas gift from Marilyn and Ron is rarely cold!
Have had a few requests for an update the past few days, so here it is. Let's see...since my last post...
I have had LOTS of great mail: Joline sent me a box with some of her homemade salsa and pickles and a book called Ten Needles (I read it in one sitting. If you need a kick in the ass to what is really important in life, read this book) and a beautiful letter that made me want to jump in the truck and drive to NS to give her a hug. Paul in SC sent me a sticker for the truck (yes, Paul I intend to put it on the back window and yes, I will send you a pic!) that says, "Wag More-Bark Less". Bermuda Jenn sent me a thoughtful card with a See You Soon note in it. I got back my share of the Artist Trading Cards from a swap I participated in (theme: coffee) and I mounted them in a floating frame and LOVE the result (yes Peeps, I will bring it to show and tell).
I scored a whopping 74 points in a game of scrabble on FaceBook: INDECENT was the word.
I have put some of the wood in the basement (will finish by Sunday for sure) and I put on the first fire of the season on the first official night of fall. Happy Autumnal Equinox.
I started back to yoga.
I made my first batch of homemade tomato sauce and was very pleased with the result. Not of the quantity, but of the result. The house smelled wonderful all weekend.
I made the switcheroo from warm-weather clothes to cold-weather clothes in my wardrobe.
I puttered around the house all weekend and got a lot of little jobs completed. So what does a well-tooled scrapbooker do when she needs to put a hole in a piece of gutter drain to screw it to another piece? Why, she gets out her Cropadile, of course! True story.
I travelled to Shelburne one day and to Meteghan on another.
I was invited to Deb's place for dessert. She invited a few girls over to her place on Tuesday night and served us luscious little chocolate mousse tarts and apple cheesecake with caramel bourbon sauce, and then we all went to see "The Women". Great thing to do in the middle of the week!
I read the Time Traveller's Wife and LOVED IT.
I ordered a piece of Tiny Art for myself! Yay! I got the last one (and I am not telling you which one...my personal secret) and I can't wait for it to get here. You can read about Tiny Art here and you can find a link to the artist's blog on this page, too. Kal has kinda been an inspiration to me lately. It wasen't very expensive (that is, the laser reproduction of the art isn't very expensive) and it is meaningful for my "journey". Happy Freakin' Wednesday to Me.
Tomorrow promises to be a winner: I am taking the new Regional Director to tour a feed mill in the morning and a rendering (hahahahaha) plant in the afternoon. And I have been invited to join her and the Inspection Manager and my Supervisor for lunch at Acton's :)
Happy Fall, Y'all.

happy day Taryn!
Glad you enjoyed the book. I wish everyone could read it and realize the little things don't matter (who cares if my Tim's double double had no sugar..., who cares if someone cuts me off..., who cares if my boss is a crabby). I have read Ten Needles more than once...just to keep me in line. ...what we can still do...is a lot:)
Love jo
