Spring Forward

Sweet. The clocks went ahead this morning! There is hope!

The past couple of weekends have been very busy so I was really looking forward to this slower-paced one and I have not been disappointed.

Friday night I was invited to share in the Vachon-Maillet Taco Night and we watched Shrek II afterward...I laughed out loud and got to have a snuggle (2 different shifts of course: one for Ollie and one for Em) with a girl and a dog in a big recliner with a quilt.

Saturday morning I got a head start on my Book Club homework and then I got busy cleaning while Princess Pooch sat on her throne (see picture at right). We went and visited the Bark Park in the afternoon and met a funny little beagle named Gypsie. She is Macy's height but about double her weight! After a nice big nap, I met up with my friend Dawn who graciously had invited me out for dinner and we had a good old chat. I went to get a few groceries at the Stupid Store afterward and let me tell you: there is nothing sadder than going to the grocery store on a Saturday night. Tumble weeds and the lonely. I refused to use one of the abundant small carts...they scream single.

Today more book club stuff, a Big Walk, a Big Nap and kitchen activity: pot of soup, batch of muffins. We have dog class on the docket as well. And then it is early to bed 'cause I am acting supervisor this coming week.

PS-There is something in the works that is giving me something to look forward to despite the snow that is falling outside...I will share when it is definite :)

You make me laugh. I use the small carts to buy less groceries, so think of it that way. Great pic of your puppy. Any hints about your secret?
