Wood in and piled in the basement? Check.
Leaves bagged and yard ready for snow? Check.
Whew. Finally ready for winter here on Pleasant Street!
Here is a pic to share. The Hound is looking mighty sad as she grips the last piece of her beloved green blankie (which originally was a green fleece sweater from LL Bean). She's sad because we have not been taking our weekend walks into the woods now that hunting season is here. And due to the early darkness, our afterwork big walks have been limited to lit streets. No worries, Beagle...it's time to cocoon in front of the fire. Soon, there will be snow to romp in. However, it does mean you shall start having to wear your plaid doggie coat. And we all know how you love that :)

Just popping in. I hadn't checked your blog in a bit so it's been nice to catch up. Loved going over the other weekend and wished we'd have more time. Our evening went by to quick. Since it is still November...it seems appropriate to say...so thankful for having you as a friend. Also happy to hear your mom got through her surgery. Hi Sharron :)

No surprise...even Macy is resourceful! LOL!
Your Mom is right, it is very satisfying to know 'the larder is stocked and the wood stacked and ready for winter', so to speak. I love that feeling too of preparedness and the ability to say 'bring it on, winter...I am ready for you!'
Happy Winter!
