It all began last Sunday with a lovely celebration in Middleton after Easter dinner. Marilyn made the amazing homemade cake you see in the pic (chocolate cake with chocolate chunks and chocolate frosting...) and there were lovely gifts to be opened, too.
And then yesterday was Princess Day and my handsome fiance offered to make me dinner last night (anything I wanted). I opted for a BBQ steak, baked potato and asparagus (and added another vegetable to his cooking repertoire!) and it was lovely. I even wished for a rum and coke to magically appear during cocktail hour and *poof* there it was! And there was a gift in a gift bag and a card, too!
In between those days, there were paper cards delivered by mail, by hand and on the sly; ecards in my inbox and greetings on Facebook, a package in the mail from Mom, visits from little girls bearing flowers and a big surprise hug at church. Oh my, but it is lovely to be loved!
